I thought I’d throw up a little bonus post today to tell you about something v.exciting that’s going down later this week. From 30th April, Selfridges will be launching their new campaign – Work It! – a thought-provoking look into how the way we work is changing. From looking at some of the trends that are currently reshaping the workplace to championing ‘me time’ to reclaim that often neglected work-life balance, there are a load of events running in-store and online from de-stressing evening workouts to learning a new skill at one of their many workshops (see the full list of events here).
Being someone who has a bit of a strange work set-up (filming in my bedroom and being surgically attached to my laptop the rest of the time) and has a passion for all things cosmetics, Selfridges have asked me to take part in The Big Beauty Lunch Hour. From 12-3pm on selected days (see the list here) the Beauty Hall will be the place to be, with refreshing and relaxing 15 minutes lunchtime beauty experiences hosted by your favourite brands like MAC, Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury, complete with a complimentary lunch bag at the end to take back to the office. That’s the perfect lunch break, right?
For the launch on Thursday 30th April, I’m doing something I’ve never done before. I’m going to be spending my lunch break live-streaming a beauty tutorial from the Beauty Hall in London at 1pm. Say what? I’ll be around all afternoon if anyone wants to pop down say hello, but if you can’t get away from your desk then you’ll be able to watch the live-stream on the Selfridges website. Give yourself little a little break.
That’s not all, because I’ll also be joining in with the fun at the Selfridges Birmingham Beauty Hall on the 14th May at 12-3pm. Come down! Say hello! Let’s chat about makeup. Hope to see some of you soon!
