I’ll let you in to a little secret. Well, it’s kind of an obvious one, but whenever I travel pretty much anywhere, I always make sure there’s a bit of spare space in my case when I leave *insert collective chorus of – Durrr Anna – don’t we all?!*. I just like to make sure there’s enough space to fit in beauty purchases, tea towels (I always like to get my Mum a tea towel) and overseas snacks upon my return. In fact talking of snacks, I went a bit mad in Whole Foods the other day and almost half of my case consists of ‘healthy‘ cookies and vanilla vegan protein. Expect a foodie, fitness and homeware US haul soon, but today it’s the turn of beauty…
I must admit that this haul isn’t as epic as those I’ve done in the past. We visited Sephora and Ulta and although there were of course a few items that I wanted to pick up, my list wasn’t as long as usual because I really do own more foundations, lipsticks and neutral colour eyeshadow palettes than you could shake a stick at. Instead I went for more of a bodycare and skincare haul and bizarrely picked up a total of four SPFs. FOUR? I know. The Cali mood just makes me crave suncare, skincare and beachy waves. Oh and sushi.
Of course there’s a bit of makeup in there and most of it is miniature. Prepare to coo at your screens and will your entire makeup collection to shrink down to Borrower-size.
