I know, I know. The cleanser craziness continues. I mentioned a few weeks ago during my Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel musings that there were two other offerings that had pride of place on my bathroom shelf, so I though it was about time I welcomed them into the VDM-approved family. Both equally beautiful in their own complexion cleaning ways, ladies and gents meet Pai’s Camellia and Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and MV Organic’s Energizing 9-Oil Cleanser*. Now let’s discuss.
As indicated in my Oskia post I use both spotlighted products for my evening cleanse. Which one I use depends on my laziness levels and skin needs. When I’m in a CBA mood and want to hurry things along as the Great British Bake Off is about to start I reach for the Pai Camellia and Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. Two words to sum it up? Nourishing and convenient. The cream-like texture has a touch of Liz Earle’s Hot Cloth Cleanser about it and is used in the same way (massaged in, muslined off – as I use all my cleansers). It’s rich but not heavy and seems like the perfect choice to carry my skin through the colder months. With Omega 3 and healthy doses of Vitamins A, B and E it ticks all the right ingredient boxes. Pai – you did it again.
When I’ve got a little more time on my hands and have caught up with my TV viewing, I’ve been plumping for something luxer – MV Organic’s Energizing 9-Oil Cleanser. Oh my word. Where do I start? A rich blend of oils that when worked into the skin and rinsed off leave my cheeks baby smooth and peachy looking. Face cheeks of course. Two pumps does it and I take my time working it in; not for any particular skincare benefit, more for the fact that I don’t want it to ever stop. Ever. A full-size purchase is on the cards.
Talking of purchasing the Pai is £25 from Pai Skincare and the MV Organics, £55 from Cult Beauty – told you it was luxe, ouch. Both good, well-rounded additions to any winter skincare wardrobe.
