I try not be swayed by products that are enticingly named, but I just couldn’t help myself with the Butter LONDON Sheer Wisdom Nail Tinted Moisturiser. A tinted moisturiser for your nails? Gimme.
In all honestly, I haven’t really been that excited about nail polish. I streamlined my stash to almost single digits and have been very strict with myself about adding any new bottles to my polish family, so this newbie from Butter LONDON is the only recent addition. My disinterest has most likely stemmed from laziness and the fact that I haven’t painted my nails in yonks because they just chip so darn quickly. So actually a sheer formula that negates any chipping-related issues, that also adds a touch of shine and promises to help repair nails over time is exactly what I need right now.
I’ve only tested it out for the last two weeks so I can’t comment on the long-term claims yet, but it lasted well on my nails – like a good couple of days before it looked like it needed a fresh coat – and they did seem less flakey. Light is nice colour too. It’s not too pale or too peachy, nor pink – it gives a glow to the nails. Ahhhh – I see where that whole tinted moisturiser thing comes from now. Side note: one coat is all you need here. Add a second and it starts to look streaky no matter how long you leave it between coats (been there, done that, had to start again). It’s just nice for my nails to just feel polished for once. It’s been a while…
