Since the festive flavour starts today on VDM, I thought I’d pull out my own personal wishlist that I’ve been working on over the past weekends after some mammoth internet window-browsing sessions. During the week I’m quite restrained online and stick to directly blog-related activities (though the odd Ryan Gosling GIF search sneaks in from time to time), but the weekend is where I get I my fingertips real deep into the beauty boutique world and with the task of collating kick-ass Christmas Gift Guides (see the first instalment here), things have got a little out of hand. Coupled with the addition of cosmetics-filled Xmas catalogues? Well…it’s got rather large…
Let’s start with a peruse of the Space NK gift-packed booklet. *Warning, warning*, do not do as I have done -Â danger awaits among the pages of this pretty read. Hide yo’ purses now. Shall I just real ’em off? Ok. The Aromatherapy Associates Ultimate Collection has already reserved a spot in my bathroom drawers along with the Bumble and Bumble The Tousled Two-Step that I promise hasn’t won my affection due to its cutesy name. Diptyque’s Christmas range always wins me over and this year it’s the Orange Chai scent that has ‘festivities in one stroke of a match’ written all over it. Candle-wise it would be rude not to pick up a back-up of the Laura Mercier Luxe Signature Christmas Candle in Warm Roasted Chestnuts which has become a bit of a winter must-have in Chez VDM. And for the man in my life I reckon I’ll be picking up the Kiehl’s Men Gifting Set; which has all his ol’ faves in that he mentioned here.
A quick scroll of Selfridges added the Dior Poudrier Doirific Perfumed Illuminating Powder and the NARS Guy Bourdin Makeup Bag to the list. Oh and the Ciaté Mini Mani Month which I swore I wouldn’t be blindsided into buying this year, but the colours look so much more darn wearable than last Christmas’ selection and I do have a penchant for anything beauty-wise in miniature (and I’m a sucker for tradition). It’s between this one and a Hello Kitty chocolate-filled advent. And while we’re on the subject of nails, lets not forget the STRANGEBEAUTIFUL Inept Laundress Nail Polish Collection that seems to have vanished from the shelves at Cult Beauty but has not managed to erase itself from lacquer loving mind. Any ideas where this went? I mean it just has to be mine as my varnish stash is just so barren. I jest, I jest.
Phew, you still here? Congratulations. On a different note – you see that number at the top of the post? Let’s just say you don’t want to miss out on the next ‘Weekend Post’. A very special blog post birthday is coming….
