I’m tired. You know those weeks where you forget what it’s like to have your little tooshe settle on a nice comfy sofa and you’ve lost all feeling in your feet due to marching through the streets in your ‘oh so lovely looking, but oh so painful‘ kitten heels? Well it’s been one of those weeks. A good’un, but one that’s left me day-dreaming about my soft, soft duvet. So I’m not messing around today with a fussy routine. It’s a product rotation that’s tried and tested and just does its job; bringing me back to the land of living with some serious R&R, all combined with a mid-afternoon nap I reckon. Four products, that’s all – it’s time to bring out the big guns…
Every good pamper session starts with a bath right? And I’m going to throw it out there into the bathtime arena that I don’t think there’s anything better to drop into your tub full of love than Aromatherapy Associates Peppermint and Lavdender Bath and Shower Oil*. Anything. You know I’m a complete and utter sucker for sleepy scents and this is just right up my street, paired with the fact it ramps up the moisture factor of the water, wow just wow. Soaked and scrubbed, I like to slather on an oil, and although the African Botanics Pure Marula Oil* is functioned for face, I add a few pumps to my body lotion rotation to inject a extra kick of orange-scented (again, swoon) hydration. I have been using this for its original purpose too, although I’m yet to be swayed away from the usual suspects in my face oil stash but I’ll keep you updated. Talking of skincare, my complexion hasn’t been at its most agreeable recently. A bit bumpy, blemishy and generally ‘bleurgh’; there’s only one mask I turn to in this case – Origins Clear Improvement. Gawd this stuff rocks and kicks my angry skin to the curb like no other. For a final touch I smooth the Phyto 9 Daily Ultra Nourishing Botanical Cream through my ends before it gets whipped into a bun. Smooth, silky locks are revealed when I unknot it in the morning; almost like a leave-in conditioner that you don’t need to wash out. Low-maintance pampering, love it.
Ah I’m looking forward to this one. A lot. Time to regain feeling in these toes of mine before slipping on those wretched heels again tomorrow – I think I’ll pack the flats…Â
