The Wake-up Wash

I’m not one to be fussy with shower gels. In fact, between me and you – I usually root around for whatever lynx-esque wash the boy has smuggled into the shower and lather up with that. But when I exited the bathroom the other day smelling a little bit too much like my Dad for my liking I decided it was time to man-up and indulge in a body rinse of my own and with my current Cult Beauty blinkers on I knew where to head. With one hell of a successful Therapie purchase under my belt, I thought I’d chance it with another one and picked up Roques O’Neil’s Boost Hair & Body Wash. A bottled wake-up morning call with sweet basil, peppermint, orange, lemon and eucalyptus that has managed to coax me out my usual evening soaks and in for an early morning rinse. I’ve lathered up with the stuff on my body and bonce and I’m telling you it’s pretty special, well as souped-up as a shower gel can be – an invigorating clout that slaps you round the chops in a ‘wake up woman’ kinda way and leaves you feeling a little bit tingly. Therapie delivers again.

The boy was sold on first whiff and enquired whether it was for joint use which was met by a stern glare, a whisper of the fact it cost £16 and a secret vow in my head to keep this well hidden for use on struggling sleepy mornings and well away from eager bathing beavers.
