MAC have long ruled the roost in the curated ‘pick your palette‘ arena – I went through an insane phase as a beauty beginner where I aspired to own every single one of their eyeshadows despite the fact I could barely blend out a smokey eye – but it’s time to welcome NARS who have recently got in the game. Whereas MAC just offer their eyeshadows and blushes in moveable form, NARS have enabled everything from their powder line to be used in their Pro Palette range, so you can stuff it with everything from face powders to contours and shadows to bronzers and everything in between.
You start with a palette – small (£12 and can fit nine blushers in) or large (£16 and can fit around 14 blushers in) – then browse through the categories of products and pick your shades. With it all being online it means you can move the pans around and work out how it all fits in which of course satisfies my inner Virgo. If you’re interested to know what I stuffed in mine I went for the Pressed Powder in Flesh, Bronzer in Laguna, Contour Blush in Paloma, Blushes in Sin and Amour, Highlighting Blush in Albatross, Single Eyeshadows in Sophia and Bengali and Duo Eyeshadows in Isolde, Alhambra and Kalahari, but there’s room for more.
The plus points here are that you’re getting all your NARS favourites in one place and for a slightly cheaper price than if you were to buy them all packaged-up separately, so really it’s for the Makeup Artists and NARS junkies among us. Or if you’re a bit palette obsessed *raises hand*.
