Ok, the big day is NEXT WEEK, but don’t panic because I have over 100+ present ideas here that should be able to sort you out. Whether you’re looking for something under the £10 mark, want to create something homemade, or fancy gifting something that will be a forever piece in your recipients home – I have just the ticket…

A LITTLE SOMETHING…

Bigger doesn’t always mean better, so here are some ideas if budget is tight or you need something that’s more in the stocking-filler category. I love stationery – it’s basically a personality trait for me at this point – and these Letterpress Printed ‘Miss Your Face’ Notecards* are such a cute gift idea and will be nice for your recipient to send to loved ones (plus it’s under a tenner!). I’m also O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with the Our Daily Edit Sock section. Honestly, fancy socks are just such a treat! I’m here for the Le Bon Shoppe Snow Sock style (they keep my feet so warm!), the Grandpa Socks that have a touch of cashmere in them and the Trouser Socks that are such a great length for winter. Of course edible gifts are such a good shout too. The Mother Cooker has lots of ideas up her sleeve, like Clementine & Ginger Marmalade and Salted Fudge, and I love to receive a homemade chutney too – why not gift this Spiced Beetroot & Orange Chutney with a nice cheese and some accompaniments.

FOR THE FOODIES…

Of course cookbooks are the natural fit here, so check out ‘My Favourite Cookbooks: A 2020 Check-In’ blog post for all my recommendations. Although I have to say that I was recently gifted a Microplane* and it’s changed my life (as well as shaved off half my thumb nail) – such a good gift for anyone in your life who loved to cook. A Lemon Squeezer* is a good shout too – it comes in so handy in the kitchen! Trouva* is a brilliant place to scout for super chic kitchenwares and find things like these Ash Salt & Pepper Grinders* or an Original Enamel Pan White Pie Set*. They might not seem exciting to some, but personally I’m all here for a Box-It Butter Box*. Seriously.

A BEAUTY LOVERS DREAM…

I’ve assessed what’s out there and hands down the best beauty gift in my eyes in terms of value and content has to be the Space NK Winter Wind Down Collection* (which costs £85, but has a retail value of £149) – a Diptyque Candle, body oil, super fancy lip balm, hand cream and a sleep spray? Perfection. If it’s ultimate luxury that you’re after then why not try the Idan Oil from LIHA Beauty, or the Therapie Himalayan Bath Salts*? Candle-wise I love the look of this Selfmade Candle Candle Making Kit, or the Boy Smells Cowboy Kush Candle* which is supposed to smell beautiful. For makeup you can’t go wrong with the VIEVE The Essentials Eye Palette* – it’s a neutral lovers dream, or the Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Lipstick: The VB Edit* for my favourite lipstick release of the year. Finally, you can’t go wrong with a bit of Glossier*. Although their Skincare Edit* and Smells Like You* set would be top picks of their gifting range, everyone I know just ADORES their Glossier Original Pink Hoodie* – the more oversized the better (I wear a M).

SOMETHING FOR THE HOME…

I feel like interior presents a good idea, especially if you have similar taste to whoever you are buying for; I know that Lily would be super happy with anything from this list! A nice cosy blanket feels like a piece that would get a lot of use over the coming months; I love the look of this H&M Soft Wool-Blend Blanket*, or this ARKET Linnea Andersson Blanket*. Or maybe something organisation-y like this H&M Metal Jewellery Stand* or H&M Large Clear Glass Box* that would work perfectly for an everyday makeup stash? I’m just putting it out there that anything from Ferm Living* would be top of my list too. It’s SUCH a great interiors brand – I feel like it’s Pokémon and I want to catch it all. The Set of 4 Tall Ripple Glasses* are just wonderful, as are the Gold Measuring Spoons* and the Brass Blance Candle Holder*. I’M SWOONING!

CLOTHING & CASHMERE…

It’s hard to gift clothing in general, but here are a few suggestions that aren’t too difficult to guess size and fit for and could definitely work, whether it’s something that you want to add to your list, or have a tricky person to buy for in your life. Slippers are always a good shout and I’d suggest the UGG Scuffette Leopard Print Slippers* for something bold or the Birkenstock Boston Clogs in Grey Felt* for something a bit more minimal. Oversized jumpers are great too as you don’t have to be so right on size. Mango* have some great cashmere pieces in like this Ribbed Cashmere Sweater*, or I ADORE this ARKET Bell-Sleeve Alpaca Jumper* which I have in the lilac and the beige. The Sezane Gaspard Cardigan* is such a great shout too and comes in a range of colours and a huge range of sizes (for reference I wear a M for a slightly oversized fit). A matchy matchy tracksuit is probably top of everyone’s list right now so a tracksuit set might be a winner – I have a whole section linked up in my Black Friday post – but this H&M Hoodie* and Joggers* is such a great colour.

LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOY…

Mark has the guys covered thanks to his edit so definitely check out that if you’re after more ideas, but he’s given me the rundown of his favourite favourite items to let you in on. He tells me that this Common Projects Standard Wallet* is a solid choice and is laid out just as he likes it. You lot are always asking me where his sunglasses are from and they are the Cubitts Moreland Sunglasses* – he loves this brand so it’s another great pick. He’s also obsessed with Edwin and loves their Japanese Sun Hoody* (there are so many other pieces from them on his edit!). Apparently you can’t go wrong with this Carhartt Madison Cotton Corduroy Overshirt* either (plus it’s in the sale – WIN!) – he says he loves this as it’s good as a jacket in the spring, but as a shirt in the winter – thanks babes.
