Spring Has Sprung on My Tips

I wouldn’t say that I’m the girliest of girls, but there was something about Ciaté’s dolls house packaged spring release that got me. Maybe it’s because of my fond memories playing with a dolls house that had been in our family for yonks with its peeling wallpaper and if I remember rightly working lights (so cool!) or perhaps it’s because I’m well over this runny-nose inducing weather and have been eager for some colour in my life for once. Pink lips, pastel tips – I’m craving them all.

So the Ciaté Dolls House Nail Polish Set has come to the rescue with five mini, bow adorned bottles of lacquer in five spring appropriate hues. There’s the straight-up white Paper Doll, a creamy salmon pink Baby Doll, the lavender lilac Poppet, a creamy bisque Doll Face and my favourite of all and the one I’ve sporting above – Sweet Pea. They perform like any other pastel, being white-based they take time to perfect. Make sure you have a good 30 minutes on the clock before you get down to work as they require a steady hand and a good three coats. I’ve also found these to have an über matte finish, almost chalk-like which works in their favour as it does mean that they dry down fast, but you do need a hefty coat of Seche Vite to gloss ’em up. A grown-up dolls house for lacquer lovers – let the play time commence.
