Rituals is one of those brands that combines everything I love when it comes to a good ol’ pamper. There’s a luxury element to their body and home products, with rich textures that leave you feeling all spa-like and a cleansing approach that helps to switch your brain into ‘relax‘ mode and transforms my routine into something more spiritual; something that’s not all that easy to do these days. It’s also a brand that features heavily in all my family member’s bathrooms. My Mum is a big fan of the Spice Trail Fragrance Sticks (her last batch lasted her almost a year!), then my Dad, Sister and Mark all use the Miracle Scrub Hand Scrub, a rinse which negates the need for hand cream because it’s so darn nourishing. So today I thought I’d throw the spotlight onto my top five picks from the brand…
For a sweet scent… Rituals Under a Fig Tree Fresh Fig & Copaiba Home Fragrance Sticks. I love a good fragrance diffuser. It’s a no-fuss way of scenting your home 24/7. I have this one out in our lounge, but you can smell it doing it’s thing from the other side of the flat. It’s a creamy, sweet fig that’s light enough for Mark to enjoy too, but punchy enough that it keeps things smelling fresh.
For a good lather… Rituals Yogi Flow Indian Rose & Sweet Almond Oil Foaming Shower Gel Sensation. This is the jewel in Rituals‘ bathing product crown. When you push down on the pump a light gel is dispersed that transforms into a foam in the palm of your hand. It’s thick and cleansing and after showering you feel clean, but in a moisturised way. This is part of their Ayurveda range, which is an ancient philosophy based on restoring inner harmony through the old practices of cleaning and nurturing your body and soul. Don’t you feel relaxed just reading that sentence?
For a cosy fragrance... Rituals Under a Fig Tree Fresh Fig & Copaiba Purifying Scented Candle. As much as I love the Fragrance Sticks, sometimes it’s nice to light a candle. There’s something about the flickering and softness of the light it gives that makes autumnal evenings a little cosier. Here the fig scent is strong and even unlit you can smell that you have this in a room which makes it the perfect product to keep out on your desk. That’s where mine currently resides.
For soft mitts… Rituals Miracle Scrub Ginseng & Ginkgo Biloba Ultra Softening Hand Scrub. The wonder product that’s a family favourite, though I think it was Lily got me into this. It’s a scrub for your hands that’s laden with oils that means that once you’ve rinsed the exfoliant away, there’s a light layer of moisture left on the skin. A great one to try if you’re like me and always end up skipping the hand cream.
For some limb love… Rituals Ayurveda Scrub Indian Rose & Multani Clay Purifying Body Scrub. Another one from the Ayurveda line-up, this scrub smells incredible. It’s a blend of delicate Indian Rose and it acts like a mask for your body. Sounds fun, right? I apply it on my limbs, leave for five minutes and then rinse it off. It feels nice and cooling when you apply and leaves behind skin so soft you’ll be sad it’s not skirt weather anymore.
Has this got you in the mood for a little pamper? Well there’s something even more de-stressing coming your way with Rituals very soon…
