The palette for if you want glow... BECCA Afterglow Palette. Containing two blushes and three of their Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors this palette has all things cheeks covered. I love it because it contains my all-time favourite highlighter, Moonstone, but one of the blushes is a fab peach, whilst the other doubles up a bronzer/lid colour. I end up using the other two deeper highlighters as eyeshadows too. Though this isn’t available anymore, the BECCA X Jaclyn Hill Collection Face Palette launches today on Sephora and seems like it will be a pretty decent dupe. Race you for it…
The palette for if you want pretty much perfect skin… Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit. This palette has everything: two setting powders, one highlighter, two blushes and one bronzer and I have in fact travelled with this in my makeup bag. TICK! Unfortunately it was limited edition, so this mention only serves as a nudge if it’s gathering dust in your stash, but Hourglass have just released their Illume Sheer Colour Trio which has got the whole bronzer/blush/highlighter thang going on. Everything is in cream form and beautifully blendable, but don’t be put off by the ‘sheer’ name tag here because in fact everything is pretty hefty on the pigment front. Though the bronzer might be a bit warm for some, the blush is a nice little summer number.
The palette for if you want a bit of everything… Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette. Whilst the the other palettes tend to concentrate more on complexion, this has a dedicated eye area too with three eyeshadows, two blushes, a bronzer that’s cool enough to contour with and a highlighter. I’m a fan of all the formulas individually and so packaged up all together it’s convenience that draws me to it more than anything. Plus, don’t you just feel glam when using a bit of Tilbury? I’m always a bit disappointed when I look in the mirror afterwards and don’t look like one of her supermodel posse. Is that too much to ask?
