Last week marked the wrap up of Lily and mine’s #BeautyChatLIVE tour and with today being the final instalment of all things #BCL (there’s a mega long vlog dropping here at 9am), I thought I’d quickly brush on my go-to look for the six evening events which was basically the same for every single one bar a little lip colour switch up. It’s quick and easy to do, über long lasting and photographs pretty well without flashback making it a good option for times when you just can’t be arsed to look in a mirror and check everything’s still where it’s supposed to be every 10 minutes. Here’s how it went…
In these situations there’s only one base on the cards – Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 4. It covers without looking cakey and my skin doesn’t eat it for dinner which is always good. Then for spot covering duties the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer in SC-3 was working overtime with the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Concealer in Extra Light sorting out my bags. I gave that a good setting with a light dusting of the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder in Vanille and instead of bronzer and highlighter, because I didn’t want to look either orange or sweaty I just used the Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in Medium to contour and added a bit of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion on the cheeks. How did I ever forget about this blush? It’s a great colour for ladies who tend to get a bit red-faced like myself as it’s a straight up peach without any pink in there and it’s so sheer so doesn’t build up to look too ruddy.
I added a bit of shape to my brows with the Burberry Effortless Eyebrow Definer in Sepia and after a slick of the NARS Pro-Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base over my lids did a quick wash of the Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow in Pale Barley with a touch of the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon in Brown(Out) on the top outer corners and smudged it out so it just beefed up my lashes. Speaking of lashes they were of course catered to thanks to the Fairydrops Scandal Queen Mascara.
For lips I switched between the nice and nude Dior Addict Lipstick in Model or the classic red MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo; though I tended to whip out the Dior as ain’t nobody to time to check that their lipstick hasn’t migrated across their face when they’re getting their Beauty Chat on, right?
