Everyone goes through phases with makeup, I’m usually a foundation fanatic, but every now and again I move into a different cycle and right now it’s lips. There are quite a few new lip delights that I haven’t mentioned yet so thought I’d throw together a little lip love medley for you today.
First up is the EOS Lip Balm in Sweet Mint that was kindly given to me by my blogging buddy Yu (link to her blog here). These ball shaped balms are pretty difficult to find here in the UK, although I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them on Zuneta and are a 100% natural sphere of nourishing goodness for your lips. These even have the Boyfriends seal of aproval who has now added them to his US shopping wishlist! Next up is the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Evasion; now I can’t say I have been blown away by this lipstick, but it is in a gorgeous ‘my lips but peachier’ shade and gives them a nice sheen. It hasn’t put me off them and I’m sure one day soon, the shade Boy will be mine! NARS Barbarella is going to be the lipstick of the Summer for me I think. Not much pigmentation here, but much like the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine it gives a pretty gloss to the lips with a hint of colour. It’s been on my wishlist for a long time and I’m so chuffed I finally picked it up! I’m a fan of natural lip colours and they don’t come more subtle than the L’Occitane Lipstick in Pivoine Délicate*. Think somewhere in between MAC Hue and Angel but in a glaze formula and you get this shade, it is simply stunning, I think I’ll have to do a post just on this as it’s by far my favourite out of the bunch. Finally, probably the most unique one of the lot is the NUXE Rêve de Miel lipbalm. I had heard so much about this product, but everyone had seemed to neglect to mention that this is a matte lip balm – bizarre right? But actually rather nice, sometimes I don’t want a gloss to my lips and this adds a bit of moisture while keeping them looking natural.
