Glow, the mascara I’ve used for the past 18 months and more glow…
AD INFO: This post features an advertorial and gifted products from Lancôme
My Lancôme love started around two years ago, when they launched THE BEST DARN MASCARA and I became hooked. Since then I’ve discovered a whole world of beauty, skincare and fragrance (!!!) that makes me feel so darn chic whenever I use it, I’ve already half packed a weekend bag for Paris. A seamless complexion, modern scent and the authority on velvety Parisian-style reds (although it’s a nude lipstick that’s become my favourite) are what they are known for, so I’ve rounded up my top favourites from across those categories and the lovely people at Lancôme are giving readers of The Anna Edit 20% off my top picks for one weekend only. Want the deats and to see what made the cut? Feast your eyes on this…

SKIN
Lancôme Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover* – The original bi-phase makeup remover. Give it a shake to allow the water/oil mix to blend and do it’s thing, before taking a glug onto a cotton pad, leaving it to soak over the lids and lashes for a moment and then swiftly removing whatever you have on in a gentle sweep, without the need to tug and fuss. So great if you wear heavy or waterproof eye makeup and just want to get it out of the way before you start cleansing.
Lancôme Tonique Confort Facial Toner* – A toner that’s more an essence in that it prepares the skin with a light layer of moisture for whatever you have next up your sleeve. I like to take a few drops into my hand before patting it lightly into my face and giving it a minute or two to sink in before I get stuck in with my serum; a nice comforting step for the dehydrated among us. Or take it onto a cotton pad and swipe all over as a post-cleanse insurance policy if you err on the side of combination/oily.
Lancôme Advanced Génifique Serum* – WHAT. A. PRODUCT. I’m a sucker for a hydrating serum, and this is one of the best. Newly reformulated, it now contains prebiotics to boost the skin’s barrier recovery, whilst still taking care of hydration levels, radiance, fine lines and all that good stuff. My skin can be pretty sensitive at times, but it laps this up and I enjoy sandwiching it between any prep steps and richer moisturisers. And the glow!?!! Don’t even get me started…
Lancôme Advanced Génifique Light Pearl* – Not only is this a fun product to apply, thanks to the metal nib you use to dab it under the eyes – which actually does feel pretty cooling – this gets the job done when it comes to brightening that delicate area and faking those illusive eight hours of sleep. Since using it I’ve really noticed a difference under my eyes and often use it as a prep step underneath for applying richer creams over the top when I’m feeling particularly dry there.
Lancôme Advanced Génifique Hydrogel Melting Mask* – I love a sheet mask; partly because they are fun to scare people with, but mostly because they make my skin feel like it’s dewiest self. This one is brilliant because it has a bit of weight to it, so it stays in place and doesn’t flap around. There’s also just the right amount of moisture, so that there’s a bit to tap into your skin at the end, but not so much that you feel like it’s never going to sink in. A great product to use before a big event, or after a big event, especially if you’re feeling on the dehydrated side of things.
MAKEUP
Lancôme Prep & Hydrate Illuminating Makeup Primer* – After all that prep and serum your skin is going to be feeling pretty darn moisturised, but if you really want to take it to the next level then this primer is lush. A peachy pink gel that when applied gives that glass skin effect, without a hint of stickiness. I especially like it under the foundation that’s mentioned below just to give it a tad more slip and make it even more malleable on the skin. A brilliant one to mix with any matte bases you have on days when you fancy amping up the glow too.
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Oil-Free Foundation Stick* – My skin has been playing with me recently, so I’ve needed to up my coverage game a little and this has been just what I need. A creamy stick that’s brimming with non-cakey coverage, I use this as a targeted foundation/concealer hybrid. The shade 005 – Beige Ivoire is a great match for me and means that I can use it just where I need it, letting the glow from my skincare shine through where I don’t. I apply it on my chin, around my nose and use a little around my eyes before blending it out with my finger. Easy peasy.
Lancôme Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara* – I mean, does this even need an introduction?! I’ve been using this formula since it first launched and have since been through at least three tubes. It’s exactly what you need if like me you have poker straight eyelashes that need a waterproof formula to hold a curl. They don’t budget at all and it never flakes or smudges and keeps you lashes held in place all day with just the right amount of volume and length. PER-FEC-TION.
Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Ruby Cream* – If the uber creamy formula doesn’t suck you in, then the fancy ‘press and click’ packaging will. Love me a luxe lipstick bullet. The shade 306 – Vintage Ruby, is a peachy nude that’s coral enough to see you through the summer months, but also rich and deep enough that you can wear it all through winter too. As always with lipstick I like to apply it and then pat it in to get the most natural finish on my lips.
PERFUME
Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum* – You lot know that I am P-I-C-K-Y when it comes to fragrance. I can practically count on one hand the fragrances that I wear throughout the year. So on paper the notes of rose and jasmine don’t really sound like my cup of tea. However recently at an event, a reader I met smelt absolutely wonderful. I asked her what she was wearing and it was this! Then EXACTLY THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN! Twice in recent weeks I’ve smelt this on people and it’s so, so good. Really fresh and modern and light – I’ve been dousing myself in it ever since.
