The Half Marathon that I signed up for way back in the summer is now only 12 weeks away. Well 11 weeks and 3 days if we’re going to be exact. That means that my 12 week training plan has just kicked into effect (hence why I’m sitting here icing my calves as I write this (FUN TIMES – I know already?). I knew I’d need some serious structure to the following weeks if I was going to keep on track with my training plan so when I spotted this on my friend Jess’ Instagram feed I knew it was exactly what I needed to note, motivate and hopefully get me over the finishing line.
It’s the Daily Greatness 12 Week Training Journal and inside there’s a bit of everything from motivational quotes to daily and weekly check-ins, to timetables and places to plan the week ahead. It’s an organisational lovers dream in print and not only does it look almost too good to write in, it’s laid out in a logical way that’s so far made it easy for me to plan my workouts, have a little mental check-in at the end of my day and even attempt a food diary which is something I’ve never given a go before. And, I’ve been using my best handwriting – 12 weeks later I’m sure it will be illegible, but good intentions, eh?
