I’m telling you those Whole Food stores are dangerous places. Not only do I end up exiting with a bagful of healthy, yet horrendously expensive food items (I’m currently harbouring quite the addiction to Bounce Peanut Protein Balls – can we just ignore the staggering R.R.P), I’m also rather partial to a peruse of their top floor beauty sections (as I mentioned when I met the Pixiwoo sisters – just thought I’d casually slip that one in, eh?). On my last trip there I ended up with two purchases from a brand I’d heard very little about, John Masters Organics. A luxury organic hair, bath and body line that shuns synthetics in favour of high quality ingredients (you can read the bumf here).
So I plumped for the Sea Mist, I know – yet another sea salt spray? But I fancy myself as a bit of a connoisseur of them. It’s a bit like when I go to a new restaurant I like to try the Burger or Fish and Chip dishes – I love ’em and they work as a good control condition. On first application it performs well; eking out a light wave, with a subtle texture and a light lavender whiff. So far, so good. The Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment on the other hand is a little different for me. A leave-in lotion that you massage into the roots and leave the blend of herbs and essential oils to work on your scalp’s health – over time increasing volume . Only time will tell on this one – expect a progress report soon.
