It’s an exciting moment when a product that you purchased over a year back in the US that’s now on its last dregs appears before your eyes in Boots. An audible whoop may have echoed round the aisles. It’s Sally Hansen’s Instant Cuticle Remover Maximum Strength, a pillar in my mani routine that dissolves raggedy cuticles away in a matter of minutes when paired with a little pushing and pulling (see it in action here). I’ve only ever spotted their yellow-tubed standard Cuticle Remover on the shelfs over here and though it’s good, the Maximum Strength one is just better; making less work of a rather grim but necessary job. I popped two in my basket in a panic that its appearance was a fluke.
£7-ish, if I remember rightly and heads up: I grabbed mine at the Sally Hansen stand not with all the usual nail bumf. A good moment for manis across the UK. Who knows what overseas export will appear on Anglo soil next?
