Let’s just have a talk about the double edged sword that is freshly washed hair. On the one hand it feels awesome. It’s all swishy and you just want to shake it around like you’re in a shampoo advert. But then there’s the bad side to just blow-dried locks: the fluffiness, the inability to stay put in the position you wish it to lie in, it’s ability to attract static. Personally I’m a bit fan of second day hair for the fact that it turns all the aforementioned on their head.
Second day hair lovers rejoice for I have found the product that makes tomorrow’s hair achievable today – Bumble and Bumble Bb Texture Hair (Un)Dressing Creme. Beware – you need the tiniest amount of this made to mess lotion to make hair obey orders. Apply when damp, run through the ends being careful not to deposit too much through the roots then blow-dry for hair with hold and not a stray or fluff in sight. It gives hair that grit, texture and lived in look that only usually occurs come the morning after hair wash day. Of course there are your Oribe Dry Texturising Sprays and the rest that do a similar job of dirtying things up, but in a way it’s quite nice to get your styling slot in post-wash, be done and not have to worry about top-up spritzes during the day.
Though we must not forgot that making Day 2 hair Day 1, makes Day 2 hair actually Day 3. Time to grab the dry shampoo…
