It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. All edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away…
1. More Hourglass Ambient Powders? Oh yes. The Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder. You might have seen them on Lisa Eldridge’s Blog and I must say that I’m extremely interested. They come in four shades and look all glowy, but subtle and the reviews I’ve seen are pretty positive so far. I’ve put the 1st February in my diary so I can grab one on their UK release date.
2. Cooking Videos Are Comin’. They are! The requests for cooking and baking videos have been coming through thick and fast and so last weekend I cleaned the kitchen, whipped out the camera and the resulting video will be heading to your subscription boxes on Wednesday. Make sure you’re subscribed here so you don’t miss it.
3. Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation: An Update. I must admit that I really wasn’t too keen on this. In fact I applied it and ended up rinsing it off so I could use my new fave Estée Lauder Double Wear Light. I will admit that a few hours had passed since I’d moisturised and done my whole skincare get-up so my complexion was a little dry. I’ll attempt again when I’m feeling a bit more fresh and dewy in the skin department. I’ll keep you updated.
4. The New Stila Lip Colours. I’d been lemming over a load of liquid lipsticks from across the pond that we can’t get in the UK, when I spotted the spring release of the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks and they were just what I was looking for. Bacci looks like the grey-ish pink that I’ve never been able to pin down and Riccio and Chianti just look fierce. They are due for release early next week and honey I’m going to be front of the line for ’em.
5. Marble Leggings. You might have spotted these on my Instagram, but the Varley Sofia Compression Tights in Marble are my new favourite thing to wear basically everyday (though I have been complimented about them at the gym too). They’re not the cheapest leggings around, but the quality is amazing. They feel like silk, wash well and aren’t see through when you’re doing your squats. If it’s Varley, then I want it in my workout wardrobe.
