CHANEL’s Strangely Cooling Eyeshadow & My Love For Red Eyes

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1. I Need Some Polish Inspiration. I need some help because I’ve basically been wearing baby blue hues and lilacs on my nails for the past two months; if it wasn’t Topshop Nail’s in Blue Rinse then it was Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in Eat My Dust and despite my absolute love for them both, I feel like I need to mix things up a little. It’s starting to get a bit Nails Inc Porchester Square up in here. Any recommendations?

2. The Red Eye. If you can’t already tell by Thursday’s Makeup Geek post, I’m having a bit of a moment with red and orangey toned eyeshadows. Being a naturally red faced girl it takes me a fair amount of time to control things in the complexion department to be able to pull it off, but once I’ve got that down I appreciate a bit of warmth in the eye. Flame Thrower – you beaut.

3. Why MUJI Rock When It Comes to Beauty. A few weeks back I headed to MUJI with Lily and left with a rather large bagful of loot. It’s not all acrylic storage and organisation you know, there’s actually a load of beauty bumf, from containers to cotton pads in stock. I’ll show you my buys next week.

4. The Foundation Edit. Another thing that I’m conjuring up for next week is a post on my favourite foundations for all skin types and all occasions. I feel like I’ve got most of my edit down, but if there’s anything that you feel must be on the list then leave your recommendations and foundation faves in the comments below.

5. CHANEL’s Strangely Cooling Eyeshadow. Released as part of the summer ’15 collection, the CHANEL Stylo Eyeshadow Fresh Effect Eyeshadow in Caroube is a winner. It’s weirdly cooling and refreshing on the lid when you apply it, it dries fast but gives you a few seconds of blending time and it does not move. Seriously. A limited edition pick that I’ll review soon, but in the meantime – grab it.
