It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. All edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away…
1. Zanna X Sports Philosophy. It’s here! I’m so excited to see that Zanna’s activewear collection has finally launched. Of course I picked up both the bra and leggings because I’m an absolute Zanna fangirl and I look forward to getting sweaty in ’em in the gym. My top pick would be the leggings. I love the fact that they’re black with a bit of a party going on on the outside leg and they come up to belly-button height which means I feel nice and snug when I’m doing mountain climbers.
2. Re-Lifted. This week I got my lashes re-lifted at Jamie Louise Beauty and I could not be more chuffed with the results. My last lift lasted a solid six weeks where I could go completely curler-free and then I managed to eke out another two weeks with intermittent curler use before I booked in for another appointment. But let me tell you, this is a proper habit now. Curled lashes mean that practically every mascara looks good and with the tint that lasts about two/three weeks it makes it look like I’ve got mascara on even when I haven’t. SCORE.
3. The Secret To A Rouge-Free Complexion? I’ve been meaning to try out this product for yonks because as a bearer of cheeks that like to get red, hot and angry when even just a speck of water gets on my face, I’m always looking for things to tone down my rouge-ness – so say hello to the YSL Touche Eclat Neutraliser. I’m going to test out the green one which promises to dim down any skin rage and I have to say on first impressions it works rather well in that it’s got enough coverage to actually work but doesn’t leave you looking like Shrek. I’ll report back soon on this one.
4. Glow. Glow. Glow! Yeah, yeah I promise I’ll pipe down about hyper-sheeny skin after this but I’ve just got to give a little more love to the Anastasia Glow Kit in That Glow that I mentioned in my First Impressions video this week. Out of all the new beauty bits that I tried it was by far my favourite and I’ve been dusting it on ever since; with a blend of Sunburst and Bubbly still being my favourite.
5. The Topshop Tee. I saw Sandra mention this Topshop Pretty Mesh Insert Tee in her March Favourites video and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head since. It’s like the perfect summer take on a simple white t-shirt and like as Sandra mentioned it’s completely one of those ‘dress-up/dress-down‘ numbers. A nice addition to my Spring Capsule Wardrobe I’m thinking. Speaking of which I’ll let you in on the few bits that I’ve picked up so far next weekend.
