Ok so the title for this post isn’t the most inspiring, but it gets straight to the point! There really is nothing better than receiving a parcel is there? I know that I guard my letter box like dog when I am expecting something through the post 😉 So when I came back from holiday to a few cheeky packages, to say I was ecstatic was a bit of an understatement! What was in these little packets of joy, let me show you.
Burberry Body Perfume Sample
I actually got this little baby for free for liking the Burberry Facebook page! The offer is still running, so if you go and ‘like’ the Burberry page on Facebook you can request a free sample! Amazeballs, right? The sample itself is pretty tiny, either 4 or 8ml (I can’t remember as I stupidly threw all the packaging and paperwork away!), but it smells rather tasty! A nice musky, floral that doesn’t sit too heavily on the skin – I like!
YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in #30 Fabourg Peach
I have already regaled the tale to you of how this baby landed in my hands right before I was about to leave for holiday, fate or what! I picked it up in a blog sale, in fab condition for a great price and I seriously couldn’t be happier with it 🙂 Fantastically smooth and moisturising formula, in the most perfect creamy peach shade – it’s my go-to lipstick of the moment. For a picture of how it looks on the lips, check out my Holiday FOTD.
Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in #08
Another purchase from a blog sale, I have had my eye on this foundation since it’s release and multiple bloggers have given it rave reviews! I’m a bit of a foundation nerd so just had to try it out! I have used it twice now, and I have to say that I am liking it so far. The shade #08 is a good match for my medium, slightly pinky undertoned skin and it gives a fair amount of coverage. I’m still not too sure on it’s staying power though, so I will be giving it a fair test tomorrow on the first day of my new Internship (side note – eeeeek excited!).
Sleek PPQ Me, Myself & Eye Eyeshadow Palette*
Yep, Sleek just appear to be churning out palettes at the moment, and this eye-catching collaboration with fashion house PPQ will be hitting the shelves for a limited time from 16th September. Now, you guys know that I am a neutral makeup girl at heart so I can’t say that this palette particularly enthrals me, but if you look past the completely unwearable ‘Simply Red’ shade, this palette really ain’t that awful. I will definitely be testing out the more demure ‘Primal Green’ – a greenier version of MAC’s Sumptuous Olive, ‘Supernova’ – a matte mix of grey and lilac and ‘Golden Silvers’ – a yellowed gold.
So there you have it, the contents of my exciting packages! And trust me, they really did excite me; my parents watched in amazement as I ripped each package open and sprinkled the contents all over the floor. I was surrounded by makeup – and it felt gooooooood! God I think I have an addiction 😉
