I think if I had to describe my makeup tastes in two words ‘Bronze Goddess’ would be pretty spot on. Ok definitely the ‘Bronze’ bit, but perhaps only the ‘Goddess’ bit in my wildest dreams! I attended the launch of Estée Lauders Bronze Goddess 2012 Capri Collection last night and it was a feast for the eyes for lovers of neutral toned makeup like myself.
The launch was held on the top floor of the Four Seasons Hotel on swanky Park Lane, with good intentions of us frocking about in the evening sun on the balcony overlooking the London skyline, however the weather wasn’t having any of it and instead we took in the views from the safety of inside. The products were perfectly poised and laid out for us all to snap a few shots of and mini-makeovers were offered – Jen from BeautyJunkieLondon looked particularly gorgeous with her Bronze Goddess eye makeup look.
The much anticipated limited edition Bronze Goddess Capri Collection is this year inspired by the seductive beauty of the Isle of Capri and includes products to produce metallic golden hues for the eyes and cheeks leaving luminous finishes, darked sultry eyes  and luscious plumped lips. Everyone’s favourite ‘reminds me of holidays’ scent is back aptly named after the collection and is this time released with Bronze Goddess Capri a slightly heavier take on Bronze Goddess filled with notes of mandarin, lemon leaves, peony, vanilla and amberwood. For the face I personally loved the look of their Pure Colour Illuminating Powder Gelee in Shimmering Sands which is sure to be a hit, along with their Luminous Liquid Bronzer which both give some serious shimmer to the cheeks. Lip-wise their Pure Colour Gloss in Shimmering Mirage looked right up my street giving just a touch of golden sheen to the the lips and for the eyes I fell in love with the Pure Colour Five Colour Gelee Powder Eyeshadows Palette in Bronze Sands. Formulated in the same way as their best-selling highlighters and containing 4 neutral shades ranging from champagne hues to chocolate brown with a pop of turquoise in the middle, this palette is simply stunning – neutrals with a hint of colour that I actually like! Along with the makeup collection, Estée Lauder is also launching their Bronze Goddess skincare range featuring sunscreens and self-tanners, which I can vouch smells pretty awesome!
I was lucky enough to receive the Golden Perfection Self-Tanning Spray for Body, Bronze Goddess Capri fragrance and the Pure Colour Five Colour Gelee Powder Eyeshadows Palette in Bronze Sands, the last of which I seriously can’t wait to use! If you’d like to see a look with the eyeshadow palette then let me know, I can’t wait to give it a real road-test over the weekend! For those dying to get their hands on the collection, it’s being previewed right now at House of Fraser stores and will be released throughout all their counters nationwide in May. So do you like the look of this beauty Bronze Goddess goodness? As in love with the Pure Colour Five Colour Gelee Powder Eyeshadows Palette in Bronze Sands as I am?
