I’m sure I don’t need to give you the blush spiel again – we have a complicated relationship – I love it, I hate it, it makes me look like a tomato. But there’s one person who can change all that with one pigmented sweep of colour and some wise words. Ladies and gentleman, the King of blush himself, Daniel Sandler. A guy who’s been manufacturing his own beauty line for 10 years and a man on a mission to bring cheek colour to the frontline of makeup bags across the world and guess what? He’s converted me.
Daniel preaches that the right dose of blush can make you look healthy, radiant and a whole host of other desirable adjectives. And he’s right. Why oh why did it take me so long? *Slaps self on wrist and loads up blusher brush*Â
Onto the blush in question, the Watercolour Blush in Goddess. A terracotta peach with a dash of pink and a shot of golden shimmer that’s coming onto shelves later this month. The colour’s a beaut, one that somehow manages to add a sun-kissed wash of colour and a wind-slapped appearance to my apples with just one dot of its liquid formula. That’s the thing, you literally need one drop for each cheek (I don’t know how anyone would ever use the whole thing). It can be applied with fingers (my preferable tool) or Daniel’s Waterbrush, though I find the latter technique requires a bit more elbow grease in the blending department. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Two other notes: it lasts all day long and works best over a powder-free base. Perfect.
