Though last year I did enjoy opening up a door that revealed a pretty bottle of polish each day in the lead up till Christmas, I just didn’t need 24 mini lacquers and truth be told my cousin ended up benefiting from most from my Ciaté Mini Mani Month come January spring cleaning time. So this year I thought I’d pass. But when my eyes locked on this years offering in the middle of the Selfridges Beauty Hall, with the festive tunes and frenzied shoppers humming around me I grabbed one, marched to the till and did the deed. I have been told before that I’m an advertisers dream. Hear me out on this one. The colour selection in this years edit just seemed so much better. No crazy ‘there’s stock left over’ neon greens or yellows, instead there’s a gawjus array of nudes, creams and brights that I actually want to don. I’ll particularly be keeping an eye out for Boudoir, a tomato red, Pillow Fight, a purple taupe and the miniatures of the Ciaté Base and Top Coat. I predict they’ll be no giveaways this year. There’s still some available at Selfridges if you’re tempted. Hold the chocolate, I’ll have a polish instead. A nail varnish a day keeps the Doctor away – I’m sure that’s how that saying goes?
