You get the idea Just a very natural look, with a subtle peachy glow! When it comes to application, I guess I really haven’t really found the knack yet; I’ve tried using the mini applicator that comes with it, but it applies too sheerly when I use that, a MAC 217 doesn’t pick up enough product, and I don’t feel like my Benefit Flat Shadow brush gets the colour on as well as it should. I found that sweeping it on with my fingers and blending up slightly gives the most intense colour, but this makes me feel a little ‘ew’, so if any of you have any recommendations then do pop them below!
When I first brought Emerveillé home I thought that I would have a ridiculous amount of dupes already in my collection; you guys know I am rather partial to a ‘peachy/gold’ neutral shado. However when I swatched this against some possible dupes I was surprised..
See they are all completely different! See! See Urban Decay’s ‘Sin’ is the closest dupe to Chanel Emerveillé, but as you can see Emerveillé is slightly paler and ‘nuder’ I guess you could say. When I first purchased Emerveillé I thought that it’s closest rival would be MAC ‘All That Glitters’ eyeshadow, which you guys know is my FAV eyeshadow of all time, but it looks almost a pinky bronze in comparison and much less neutral than Emerveillé, I have a feeling that my new Chanel purchase may overtake it as my HG eyeshadow. I have seriously worn it everyday since I brought it, it’s so easy and quick to throw on, and gives a natural glow to my lids without looking overdone as it is closer to my natural skintone.
