August Favourites: 100% Beauty

Favourites videos are the talk of the town in the YouTuber community at the moment. Personally I love ’em. They’ve always been my favourite videos to film, my favourite videos to watch and they still are. Whenever I stumble across a new beauty YouTube channel that I like the look of, it’s always one of the first videos that I watch if they’re in the archives as I find that they’re a good gauge of whether I fancy subscribing.

The one thing I do get though is that an onslaught of brand spanking new things shown every four weeks, might not be the most interesting or helpful thing for viewers and so I’ve stopped trying fresh releases all the time in order to keep my favourites current and am just noting down my most-used beauty items of the month whether I’ve shown them to you lot 156 times before or not. Think of it like an empties/favourites video rolled into one as this month’s edition has some items that are long overdue a repurchase.

Aside from the bits that I need to throw in the bin, there’s also a nod to a new skincare brand that’s been impressing me, the drugstore lipstick that’s basically my perfect nude, the brush cleanser that makes cleaning them quick and relatively painless, the mask combination that’s been amping up my non-existent glow and the liquid bronzer where less is definitely more. I learnt that one the hard way…
