I don’t need much of an excuse to find a justification for treating myself. I’ll pick up a tub of Ben and Jerry’s cause I woke up to my alarm without snoozing it in the morning (not the most regular occurrences), and I seem to remember my first Essie being purchased as my student loan had just got into my grubby hands (those were the days). The excuse for my latest purchases? It was Friday. I think I’ve reached a new low. But to be fair I did have £10 off with my Space NK N.Dulge card – if you haven’t got one and spend a small fortune in there, what are you thinking? Get on it! So what did I purchase? Well let me tell you…
My love for L’Oreal’s Telescopic Waterproof Mascara is a well documented one. But I thought it was time to branch out. Previous attempts to do this have left me with droopy ‘elephant’ lashes, but I thought I’d give one of Kevyn Aucoin’s ones a go. I’ve been really impressed with The Sculpting Powder (review here) and after seeing a Space NK employee with the most fabulous lashes I’ve ever seen crediting this as the culprit I just had to get The Curling Mascara. I’ve only been using it over the weekend, but so far it lives up to its ‘seperated, thick and curled’ claims. I’ll let you know if it hits L’Oreal off the top-spot. As if I need another base product? Non. However By Terry’s Sheer Expert had been winking at me for a while. Their Touche Veloutée Concealer is still going strong and is my daily bag coverer of choice so I’m expecting good things from this. I picked up Peach Beige, which is a questionable shade match for this time of year, but I’ll ‘werk it out’ I’m sure. A sheer, perfecting, brightening formula? Just up my street. I’m sure this will weadle its way into my face base round-up video which should be up soon-ish.
So what will the next excuse be? Who knows. But one thing’s for sure – I can justify any purchase 😉 Somebody call shopaholics (not-so)Â anonymous!
