A Morning Facial?

IMG_8603

Sarah Chapman is definitely up there when it comes to my list of seriously kick-ass ‘anything I try from them rocks‘ skincare brands. The serums, the cleanser, the eye cream – love ’em. Then there’s the cult classic, Overnight Facial. A serum/oil combo that when applied before bed leaves things looking seriously glowing come the morn, whatever time your head hit the pillow. My bottle of the stuff has got a serious dent in it and though it’s not something I use nightly, whenever I have an SOS, ‘damn, why don’t I get ID’ed anymore?‘ moment, out this comes. So imagine my excitement when I got my hands on the newly released, Morning Facial…

It follows the same lines as its PM equivalent; a serum/oil hybrid that can be used however you like: before moisturiser, after, on its own after toning – it’s your call. Personally I apply one pump after a hydrating toning spritz and call it a day. It’s got a slip to it that helps it glide over your chops without too much force and after the initial sheen has dried down your skin just looks healthy (I’ve sat here for five minutes thinking of a more exotic adjective, but ‘healthy’ sums it up to a tee). It’s a ‘my skin but better’ finisher and on mornings when the neighbours have been smoking and nattering outside your door till 3am (*growls*), it just makes you look rested, awake and all the other emotions that you feel the opposite of. It’s also worth pointing out that makeup sits on top of it in the usual fashion – no greasy finish and no makeup munching.

The only warning I would put out is that extremely greasy gals may want to steer clear of this one, because although the finish isn’t oily per se, it’s hydrating and intensely so. And for one, my sleep-starved skin is drinking it up.
