I’ve literally spent years upsizing, then downsizing, then rearranging and repurchasing shadows to occupy my MAC Eyeshadow Palette. It’s a process and one that I’ve been extremely indecisive over, but I think I’ve finally got there with my warm-toned rows of lid colour. There are the obvious dips in All That Glitters, the only eyeshadow I wore for about two years, and Espresso which is the colour I used to use for my brows, but there’s a new favourite in town and though it’s not baring the wear of excessive brush use yet – it’s coming, let me tell you…
Texture was originally pointed out to me by Lily, who said that it was one of her faves. Now that girl knows a thing or two about eyeshadow so I listened up, purchased and popped it in my palette. A few months later and she was right as it’s now one of my most used colours. MAC describe it as a ‘peachy brown with shimmer’ and though I’ve never even realised it had shimmer in before I’ve just done a quick swatch and can confirm that there’s the tiniest hint of sheen in there though it’s barely detectable and the colour is more of a warm orange mid-toned brown. It’s versatile in that you could pop it all over your lid if you wanted to heat things up, but I like to wear it best in the crease with something like Cranberry on the lid. It pairs with any red-toned shadow well or can be swept over whatever you’ve got on as a warming wash. It’s a good little worker that it’s nice to have among my chosen 15 and if you’re a fan of warm toned eyeshadow then say hello to you new crease colour/transition shade/best friend…
P.S) Let’s just throw in the word ‘warm‘ again because I don’t think I used it enough in today’s piece.
