Now it goes without saying that Lily and I are utterly thrilled to announce that we are Digital Ambassadors for Look Good Feel Better, a charity that we both feel passionately about and absolutely adore. If you haven’t heard of LGFB before, then you can find everything you need to know here, but their mission is to provide practical and effective free services to women and teenagers struggling with the visible side effects of cancer treatment. They do this in all sorts of ways, but the main one is through the running of workshops where women of all ages are invited to learn beauty tips and tricks from the professionals themselves. Lily and I went along to one of them and it was such an uplifting and positive experience; an afternoon of lipstick and laughs.
There are plenty of LGFB-related exciting things coming your way soon, but the first is SWALK – a sponsored walk through a beautiful vineyard in Dorking. We chat about it in the video above, but here’s what you need to know…
SWALK will be held on Sunday 12th June at Denbies Vineyard in Dorking, Surrey. You can choose between a 6km or a 12km walk (Lily and I will be doing the latter) and walkers can start anytime from 8.30-11am. The course is family and pooch friendly too and upon completion of the walk you’ll be welcomed into the LGFB Beauty Village where they’ll be giveaways, beauty demos, live music and a beauty-crammed goodie bag. Registration for the walk costs £20 and you can sign-up here, then all that’s asked is that you raise as much money as you can for LGFB. Set-up a JustGiving page if you fancy and ask your friends and family to donate, have a bake sale, hold you own pamper evening – the possibilities are endless!
If you’re not able to make it down or fundraise yourself, then please support our JustGiving page. Every pound helps and goes towards ensuring that the free services that LFGB offer reach as many women as possible. Thank you so much and we can’t wait to see some of you at the SWALK – time to get on those walking boots. Fingers crossed for a sunny day, eh?
P.S) Things will be a little quiet round these parts and on my YouTube channel this week as I’m spending the week playing catch-up and hitting refresh on all things content-wise. Thanks for hanging on in there. See you on Monday!
