Me and Origins, we like peas and carrots (+1 point for the film reference). So yesterday when I was invited to have a peek at their newly refurbished counter in Selfridges London I happily skipped down to see what all the fuss was about. And I’m pleased to report I was impressed, so much so that I snapped away in a paparazzi-style and waltzed out with some awesome samples wedged into my bag. The counter has been extended in length and pushed back slightly so there’s more space to peruse and there’s a fair few new snazzy features which may tempt you down for a visit…
The best bit are the new fast-food style ‘ketchup’ pumps, which house Origins five best-selling products. Everyone’s encouraged to pick up an empty pot from the display, pump away then take home and sample – I did spot one of my favourites, Origins Vitazing, there – definitely one to test. Next up is their ‘Discover Our Origins’ board – get it? This links up ingredients, research and science of their top 10 products to keep the you informed – a bit like going to skincare school, can I enrol please? There’s also a new packing station, where the Origins staff can gift wrap your purchase – I’m sensing something Christmassy here; they’ve also designed an exclusive tote bag which will be given out with purchases over £75. Their Christmas gift display is pretty special – my lucky Sister received one of the ginger bathing kits last year from myself, but the one kit that stood out to me the most was the ‘Morning to Night’ set which contains four of my favourite Origins products – the Drink-Up Intensive Mask, High Potency Night-a-Mins, Ginzing Eye Cream and Vitazing. If they threw in the Clear Improvements Mask it would be my neatly packaged top five Origins picks.
To celebrate the new counter, Origins are running an exclusive offer each week available only at Selfridges London. So this week (until 12th November) you can get a full-size Origins Face Mask when you trade in any product (from any brand!) and make a skincare purchase. May I suggest you purchase the two masks mentioned above. And I might just have to add to my collection…
